Halloween isn’t just about dressing up, decorating the house and filling the bowl with sweets – it’s also a great excuse to have some fun with food!
If you’re planning a Halloween party this year, whether it’s for the family, a group of friends, a children’s party or even a little get-together at home, you might already be thinking about what you’re going to serve.
There are always plenty of sweets and chocolate around at Halloween, but sometimes it’s nice to have something a little different on the table too.
That’s where my mini baked cheesecakes could come in.
They’re small enough for everyone to have their own individual cheesecake, making them a really easy option for parties and celebrations. You can put them out as part of a dessert table, serve them after your main food or simply have them ready for guests to help themselves.
And, of course, you don’t have to wait until Halloween to enjoy them – I make my cheesecakes for all sorts of celebrations throughout the year.
When you’re planning a party, I think individual desserts can make things much easier.
There’s no cake to cut, no plates of slices to prepare and no wondering how big a piece everyone wants. Each person gets their own little cheesecake, ready to enjoy.
My mini cheesecakes are a lower cost option so they can also be a lovely idea if you're catering for a group and want to give everyone something homemade without ordering one large cheesecake.
I also think there’s something quite nice about having lots of little cheesecakes together on a party table. You can mix and match flavours, let guests choose their favourite and make the dessert part of the occasion.
And if you’re expecting a larger number of guests, I can also create larger or bespoke orders to suit your celebration.
Halloween and autumn bring some lovely flavours into the kitchen, and there are plenty of ways to bring those flavours into a cheesecake.
Think toffee apple, apple and cinnamon, caramel, chocolate, ginger, Biscoff and warming autumn spices. These are the sorts of flavours that feel right at this time of year and can make a lovely addition to a Halloween party or autumn get-together.
I’ve recently launched my own Apple, Cinnamon & Lime Baked Cheesecake, made with cooked apple, cinnamon, creamy baked cheesecake and my homemade lime curd. It’s a slightly different take on those classic autumn flavours, with the fresh lime adding a lovely zing.
And if you have your own flavour combination in mind, why not ask me?
I love creating new flavours and I’m always happy to chat through ideas for your celebration. Whether you have a particular flavour you’d love to see in a cheesecake or simply know that you want something with a Halloween or autumn feel, we can look at what might work.
You don’t need to make everything on your Halloween table spooky.
Sometimes it’s the little touches around the food that make all the difference. You could create a Halloween dessert table with your favourite decorations, add some pumpkins, candles or autumn colours, and then make the cheesecakes part of the display.
With mini cheesecakes, you can also offer a selection of flavours rather than having just one dessert.
Imagine a table filled with little individual cheesecakes, with everyone choosing which one they want to try.
And if you’re hosting a party for children, having individual portions can make things much simpler too. They can choose their own cheesecake rather than everyone sharing one large dessert.
If you’re starting to think about your Halloween celebrations, now is a good time to start planning what you’d like to serve.
Most of my cheesecakes are freshly baked to order and require 2–3 days’ notice, while larger celebration orders may need a little more planning, particularly during busy periods.
So whether you’re planning a big Halloween party, having a few friends over or simply want something special for the family, get in touch and we can talk through what you’re looking for.
I can create bespoke cheesecake orders for birthdays, parties, baby showers, corporate events and other special occasions, so if you have an idea for your Halloween dessert table, I’d love to hear it.
Halloween is all about having fun, and I think the food should be part of that too!
Whether you go for little individual cheesecakes, a selection of different flavours or something completely bespoke, there are lots of ways to make cheesecake part of your Halloween celebrations.
And you don't have to stick to a traditional Halloween flavour either. Choose the flavours you love and let the decorations and rest of your party create the spooky atmosphere!
