The Story Behind Sally’s Baked with Love
Over the past few years, Sally’s Baked with Love has grown more than I ever imagined, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on how this journey first began and share a little more insight into the story behind my small business.
What started as a love for baking in my home kitchen in Stoke-on-Trent slowly turned into something so much bigger than I ever expected.
So, I thought it would be nice to share a little more insight about how Sally’s Baked with Love came to life, and the journey behind the cheesecakes so many of you now know and love.
Where It All Began
While baking has always been a passion of mine, it was my love for cheesecakes that truly ignited this journey. What started as a small project in my home kitchen back in 2021 has since flourished into the well-loved local business I am so proud to run today in Stoke-on-Trent.
For years, I spent my time perfecting recipes and sharing my creations with family, but it was their encouragement—and a gentle push from my husband—that changed everything. He told me, ‘If you don’t try, you will never know what the future holds,’ which gave me the courage to turn my dream into a reality.
I still vividly remember my very first farmers market at Rode Hall, where I spent three days using a small Kenwood mixer to handcraft 108 individual cheesecakes. It was exhausting at times, but incredibly rewarding too.
Seeing customers try my cheesecakes for the first time, return for more, and support my small business gave me so much confidence to keep going.
Every penny earned from those early bakes was reinvested straight back into the business, eventually allowing me to purchase the commercial 20-litre mixer I still use today. Looking back now, it’s amazing to think how far Sally’s Baked with Love has come from those early kitchen days.
Creating Cheesecakes for Special Moments
One of the things I love most about running Sally’s Baked with Love is being part of people’s special moments.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of creating handcrafted cheesecakes for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, celebrations, markets, and special events across Staffordshire and beyond. It means so much knowing my cheesecakes become part of memories shared with family and friends.
Cheesecakes have even been part of my own special moments too — I created the cheesecakes for my own wedding, which made the whole journey feel even more personal and meaningful.
Growing Sally’s Baked with Love
Since launching in 2021, Sally’s Baked with Love has continued to grow thanks to the incredible support from the local community, repeat customers, recommendations, social media support, and regular appearances at artisan markets and events across Staffordshire.
I now regularly attend markets throughout the region and proudly supply selected local shops, helping even more people discover and enjoy my handcrafted cheesecakes. Seeing customers return time and time again, recommend the business to friends and family, and continue supporting my journey honestly means so much to me.
Watching the business continue to grow year after year is something I never could have imagined when I first started baking cheesecakes in my kitchen at home.
Handmade with Love
Every cheesecake I create is handmade to order using high-quality ingredients, with a focus on indulgent flavours, creamy textures, and personal service.
From customer favourites like Biscoff and Lemon to exciting new flavour combinations and bespoke creations, my goal has always been simple — to create cheesecakes that people genuinely love, remember, and come back for.
There’s nothing better than meeting customers at markets and events, hearing their feedback, and seeing people discover a new favourite flavour for the very first time.

One of the most exciting moments in my journey so far has been being invited to appear at Foodies Festival — one of the UK’s biggest celebrations of food, drink, and live entertainment.
Not only will I be attending the festival with Sally’s Baked with Love, but I’ll also be giving live demonstrations in the Cake & Bake Theatre, which honestly feels like a huge milestone for my small business.
To go from baking cheesecakes in my home kitchen to now demonstrating at a nationally recognised food festival is something I’m incredibly proud of, and it’s a moment that really reflects how far this journey has come.
I’m so excited to meet even more cheesecake lovers, share my passion for baking, and introduce new people to Sally’s Baked with Love. Opportunities like this are something I could only have dreamed about when I first started back in 2021, and I’m incredibly grateful for every bit of support that has helped make it possible
